My dear friend,
In the enclosed package, which I have sent to you by the hand of a trusted courier, you will find a small, sculpted model of a Sacred Well shrine—in this case, the primary shrine here on the Red Isle, dedicated to the brothers Neras and Neralu.
You may find this a curious inclusion in our project—after all, are we not producing books? But, as it is my desire to ensure that the sacred lore and history of our people is properly preserved, I thought an ingenious model such as this would no doubt be of interest. Of course, there are as many varieties of these shrines as there are Sacred Wells themselves, but they are similar enough in their primary respects that this one may be taken as representative. I believe it will make a fine addition to your collection.

My dear friend,
I hope that the manuscript somewhat ominously entitled The Bell of Time did not trouble you greatly. As I indicated previously, I found it a most... disturbing read. What I failed to mention (or rather, intentionally left out) is that it was not the only manuscript of strange provenance I found. It was in a scroll case—an old, ornate thing that smelled of madness—along with another item. This second item is not really a scroll at all, but rather the pages of some ancient codice that have been stitched together lengthwise.
Master Norkur always told me I was his best student, so you will understand it is not any idle boast when I say that I have deciphered hundreds of ancient manuscripts in my time, some of which I found in places far older than the Royal Library in Sencankarr. Still, never in my life have any of them posed the kind of challenge this text does. For one thing, the pages seem to be stitched together all out of order! But that is far from my greatest difficulty. The writing seems to contain the ravings of a madman.
I... I can see some of the letters forming before my eyes, as though another hand were writing them on this text.
I... need to lie down...

My dear friend,
As I pen this latest missive, my boots are mud-stained, and my cloak is heavy with rain. I am bivouacked in a cottar's small hut, not in the ancient fastness of the Red Isle, but on the remote edge of the Cheyth Wood. It is an old place—as old at least as the Red Isle—and the trees here sing the same strange, growing song of the old roots of the Red Mountain, albeit in a different key. I am here with two assistants—an illuminator named Yalafir, and a ranger named Derjal—on an expedition to track, observe, and illustrate some of the great beasts of the Cheyth Wood. These illuminations will adorn our first tome, but I am also pleased to inform you that they are also available for your patrons in single-leaf illuminations, which may be used to adorn their chambers, or books of their own devising. Such images will... But, ah! The crash of the underbrush, the horn of the hunter, the trumpeting of the Great Beast! I must leave my pen for now.

Stretch Goal #9 - Book Upgrade II - Charts

My dear friend,
As the production of these tomes (at least in their initial version, before it's given to the copyists and illuminators) nears its completion, I thought you might be interested to read of our newest enhancement to the binding of these volumes. As you are aware, we have already taken measures to ensure that the exterior binding will be of the most curious and wondrous materials—colors which will shift and change as they are held to the light. On the interior of the binding, we have now arranged with the illuminators and logicians of the Strange Owl to inscribe certain wonderful charts and tables, which will provide the detailed calculus for many abstruse and arcane logarithms. By means of such charts, devised by the loremasters of Sencankarr and of the Red Scriptorium, the reader may calculate the probabilities of battle, the movement of the wandering planets, and the order of Middle Heaven. It is my hope that it will be of great use to those who intend to delve more deeply into these tomes.
Yours,
